0332 Stiklestead to Bronnoysund

The sunshine continues......

We woke up on our little spit of land, still with no one around, and a perfect clear morning.  The sunset last night had been spectacular, but the clear sunny morning today wasn’t much worse !  We seemed to be the only people on the site, so enjoyed our showers and then headed out along the edges of fjords and through farming country.  A lot of today was driving across country heading towards the coast. But there were a lot of spectacular lakes and fjords and rivers to prevent us getting too bored !

We only had one ferry crossing today, from Holm to Vennesund, and then we headed up the road towards Bronneysund.  As the afternoon wore on, I was getting tired, so when we found a camp site beside the road, we turned in, happy to stop for the night.  The weather has been so good, but the roads are pretty narrow, and you do a lot of driving around the edges of fjords which means twisty roads that take forever,, but you only seem to cover a few kms when measured as the crow flies !  So by 5 pm I am normally well ready for a cold beer, and the chance to sit and relax in the evening sun for a while.

The camp site had all facilities but they didn’t seem to work too well, so after a while we gave up and turned in for the night.
